What is NETLINK?

NETLINK is an alternative way to gain access to the internet without having to use you phone line. NETLINK is also remarkably faster than dial-up. We have found that it is not uncommon to access the internet up to twenty-five times faster than a dial up connection.


Who can get NETLINK?

Anyone who lives in the area serviced by Southern Cayuga County Cablevision has the oppurtunity to be connected to NETLINK. Regardless of whether you get your TV service by SCCC or another provider, NETLINK is available to you.


What are the advantages of NETLINK over my current dial-up connection?

Many things. Things such as constant internet connection, ability to use the phone and the internet at the same time. Oh yeah, did we mention connection speeds that are over twenty-five times faster than dial-up?


My current internet service provider supplies me with E-Mail. Where can I get a new E-Mail address after I get hooked up to NETLINK?

NETLINK offers all of it's users up to three E-Mail addresses per household. Seeing as how this service is only brought to people in this area, almost any name you can think of will be available for use. This means no more hard to remember numbers at the end of your user name.


All of this sounds great. But now for the big question, how much does it cost?

Not as much as you might think. Other providers, such as Time Warner, charges $49.95 a month for the same exact service that can be provided to you. Although our service is the same, we charge only $39.95 a month plus a small one time connection fee. If this still seems a little steep, think about what you paying now, not just for internet service but for phone bills. Some people connected to NETLINK are now spending less money than before because they don't have to pay for a second phone line, nor do they have to pay long distance costs to get connected.
